Shigesato Itoi, after the creation of the last game of the MOTHER trilogy, MOTHER 3, he replied many times in interviews that he would rather see people create new games.He would rather be a part of the audience, then to continue on in a franchise that he felt was complete. But like any series with a dedicated fanbase, ending a series, no matter how good, was too unbearable.
And so, of course, a group of people over at Starmen.net decided, hey, if he wants to be the player of the next game, why don’t we make one?
Challenge accepted. And boy did they go through with it.
